<h4><strong>Energy efficiency/subsidized insulation upgrades</strong></h4>
Free energy efficiency assessments are available from the Cape Light Compact. They will send engineers to your house to evaluate the energy efficiency of your home and provide recommendations on ways to improve the insulation. The insulation improvements are completely free (for many renters) or subsidized at least 75% (for homeowners), and will be completed by local professionals.
<a href="https://www.capelightcompact.org/">https://www.capelightcompact.org/</a>
Also, during the energy efficiency evaluation, they will replace any incandescent light bulbs with CFLs for free (and you can get replacements if any of them burn out quickly).
They also have a bunch of rebates available for purchasing energy-efficient appliances, thermostats, etc.
<a href="https://www.masssave.com/en/saving/residential-rebates/">https://www.masssave.com/en/saving/residential-rebates/</a>
The energy efficiency program is in high demand, but worth the wait, make your appointment asasp.
