Paul’s Precision Automotive Repair
464 Main Street, Falmouth. (508) 548-3164. Right across from Betsey’s Diner. Mixed reviews, some highly recommend, some say it is overpriced and has gone downhill in the past several years as Paul has become less involved in the daily operations. He is fairly busy, so an appointment is recommended. Specialized in European vehicles (VW, Volvo, Saab, Audi, BMW, Mercedes) but will also work on your Toyota or Ford, etc.
East Falmouth, on Rte. 28, near Subway. Free tire rotations if you buy your tires there. Nice guys, reasonable prices.
Oil changes. Expensive but fast.
Falmouth Auto Works / Rotary Collision Center

10 N Main St, Falmouth, MA 02540 – No nonsense and won’t fix your car and leave something else broken. They have a steady flow and just want to get you out of there, so they fix it right the first time. Great guys and great prices. They can do the annual state inspection.
Cape and Islands Tire
735 Teaticket Highway, Teaticket, MA – Phone: 508-457-1300 – Offer WHOI discount – http://capeislandstire.com/
There are two options for getting car (and home, etc.) insurance in MA. Prices range widely.
1) Choose an independent agent/agency who represents a bunch of companies and they will send you quotes from multiple companies.
Just a few examples in Falmouth: Calfee Insurance (www.calfeeinsurance.com), Hub International (www.hubinternational.com), Northeast Insurance Agency (www.neinsure.com),
2) Choose an insurance company that has their own agents, and they will give you a quote.
Examples: Progressive (www.progressive.com), Liberty Mutual (www.libertymutual.com)
For Joint Program Students: Car insurance in Woods Hole is considerably cheaper than in Boston and Cambridge, but you must prove residency. (You should know that if you primarily live elsewhere but try to save money by registering and insuring your car in Woods Hole using your WHOI address, and then you make a claim, and your insurance company finds out that your car is not really garaged primarily on Cape, you’re in trouble and they are not obligated to pay your claim at all.)
Registry of Motor Vehicles
For a Massachusetts ID, a driver’s license and/or vehicle registration you should visit the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. Check their webpage for complete information, requirements and office hours. http://www.mass.gov/rmv/
